The Venture Three Stage Mini Booster Seat has been recalled over two separate concerns.

The booster seat is being pulled from shelves over fears the packaging could cause children to suffocate, and the seat also having an “inadequate” locking system.

This faulty system could cause injury to a child if they were to fall from the seat.

On the Trading Standards website, a notice explains, “The booster seat has an inadequate locking mechanism, restraining and chair attachment system. A child may fall off the seat and suffer injuries.”

The second issue is the plastic packaging being too large and thin without perforations.

“If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate,” the notice reads.

The booster seat is for children between six and 36 months and the current risks are being described as “serious” by the manufacturer.

Only one batch of the booster seat has been affected – the code on this models is 50700461909323, which can be found on the barcode.
