Love Island fans have shared their annoyance over the show’s decision to cut an important scene from the week’s offering of episodes.

During the weekly Love Island: Hotlist programme, viewers watched as the islanders took part in their version of a sports day.

After Jack Fincham got everyone together, the villa residents were seen taking part in various challenges including an egg and spoon race, tug of war and a swimming relay.

As the sun shone down on the group in the garden, the contestants had fun as they competed against each other.

Whilst Wes Nelson took part in the egg and spoon race, Laura Anderson was seen making a sassy comment about him cheating.

“Just be careful, Wes likes to cheat,” she declared in a thinly veiled dig about how he dumped her for Megan Barton Hanson.

The sports day, which took place before Zara McDermott and Eyal Booker were eliminated, also showed Adam Collard declaring his victory when he told the Beach Hut: “I’m buzzing that we won sports day. Winner winner chicken dinner!”

Whilst the sports day provided viewers with enjoyable entertainment, many were left confused over the reason why it didn’t feature in any of the 60 minute episodes that aired on ITV2 during the week.

“Why don’t they show stuff like this on the show?! The cast actually being fun,” one fan commented on Twitter.

Another commented: “WHATTTT WHEN WAS ALL THIS??? This content should have been shown in full on the show prefer this to all the disgusting food challenges.”

“Hey this was from last week how come it was edited out until Saturday,” a third user shared on the social networking site.

Love Island continues on ITV2, every night at 9pm.
